Overall, great work!
I am a book reader and not a book writer. I really appreciate the work and effort put into Edna's story and quite enjoyed it. While reading I was surprised to find additional stories within the book that didn't include Edna, and after looking at the back of the book found the words, "and the impact it had on her family." To me, the account of the Paden-Mallory Trial dragged on. Please know you are getting additional information besides Edna's life story. My only other criticism is that there was no real information on her time in prison and her thoughts about it, though there are some photos of her while incarcerated.

Edna
I went on a ganster tour in MN. The tour guide character was Edna. She bought Edna to life. I wanted to know more about her. The book was just what I needed,

Pistal Packin' Mama
What a gal this one was! They don't make them like that anymore. No morals, no loyalty. It makes one realize how low a woman can go. The family she grew up in must have been very dysfunctional.

True story of a Gangster's Moll told by her Granddaughter.....Buy it, you'll love it!
Buy this book and once you start reading it you won't want to put it down! So much attention to detail and impeccably researched true facts about the Barker Karpis Gang and Edna Murray's time sheltering the notorious fugitive bank robber John Dillinger. Very well written by Edna's granddaughter Pam Paden Tippett, it also tells the story of her father Preston Paden Who also had an early brush with crime but made the decision to turn his back on that lifestyle and lead a productive life with his wife and daughter. I couldn't wait to turn the pages and find out what Edna and her sister Doris got up to next and loved the tales about a teenaged Pammy and her beloved ancient car ! Even if 20's/30's outlaws are not your thing, I guarantee you'll love this book. A first book from this author and I can highly recommend it.

Great story of Depression era gangsters
Edna Murray lived a full and exciting life , a prison escapee herself earning the nickname Rabbit ... she was also the girlfriend of Volney Davis an associate of John Dillinger . She mixed not only with Dillinger but also the Barker / Karpis gang ... If you enjoy stories of the 20s or the tales of depression era gangsters this is a fantastic read told with a unique personal family insight by the granddaughter of Edna Murray .... I highly recommend it .
