Review: ... and I have to say the battery life is poor, (and always has been) Its NO WAY '8 ... - I have only had this watch for 2 years and I have to say the battery life is poor, (and always has been) Its NO WAY '8 hours in training mode' more like 4 then it just shuts down!! Of course I could be doing something wrong but with a watch this simple I can't see what!! I charge it fully before runs/hikes and though I like the way it works and style it would get 5 stars if it lasted as long as Garmin claims!
Review: Plusses : 1) Battery did not die in 6 hours with GPS on and HRM connected. But it was about to die and survived my first full marathon. Low battery indication around 5 hours mark. 2) Did not feel the HRM on my chest while running/cycling. It slipped only when I tried it playing football :) 3) The software in the watch automatically updates when you connect it to the computer. 1 button click away to sync activities online (to Garmin Connect and Strava) 4) Water proof as mentioned. Played football when it was raining. 5) 1 year warranty by Garmin. Minuses : 1) Time taken to start the GPS from indoors is too high but faster outdoors (less than a minute). It's worth the wait considering the accuracy. 2) Distance shown in the watch is not accurate while running in trials with too many turns. Auto lap feature will give the correct distance while running. The distance will be accurate in Strava. 3) Costly because of Import duty. Totally satisfied with the product so far (1 month since I bought.) Will update if something comes up.

I have only had this watch for 2 years and I have to say the battery life is poor, (and always has been) Its NO WAY '8 hours in training mode' more like 4 then it just shuts down!! Of course I could be doing something wrong but with a watch this simple I can't see what!! I charge it fully before runs/hikes and though I like the way it works and style it would get 5 stars if it lasted as long as Garmin claims!
