We've had games with her, the two 30something year old parents, and a 68 year old grandpa and all had a blast. One of the best features is that younger kids can play it alone, too, and have fun by practicing stacking the blocks. The pieces are smaller than you might expect from the photos--remember these are children's hands you see, and the photo gives the illusion that the pieces are fairly large. Most of the pieces are 1 to 1 1/2 inches high. And they are very smooth, so they slip off each other easily. My 4 year old grandson is a master builder with blocks of all sizes, both wooden and plastic--but he reached frustration level very quickly trying to balance these. So, I would think twice about the age and dexterity of the child you are buying this for. That said, he did enjoy just playing with the pieces and telling stories.
