what beautiful thread this is .I bought the set to make some hand made xmas decorations and this set is just the cherry on the top .doubled up thread ,using blanket stitch around the edges gives and absolute wonderful look to the work.its 2 pounds each a colour in stores so this set was a deal.you can never go wrong with a nice decent thread buy them they are lovely

Good value. Needed some different colours and it was cheaper to buy them like this than separately. I use them with the sewing machine and they work fine.

This is a beautiful set of embroidery threads, presented in a sturdy storage box, where you can easy view the colours. A lovely product, as always, from Gutermann.

It's Guttermann, gorgeous threads in their own right but they went a step further and created glittery threads. These are perfect for any magpie like myself out there that like sparkly things. Gorgeous colours...you get 2 x silver, 2 x gold, dark blue, light blue, like a copper colour, green/aqua, red and I think it's black. I've used the gold already in embroidery work, it glides through the fabric. Very pleased with these.

I am fairly commited Gutermman user, but rather disappointed in this thread. My machine simply will not sew with it. Ive tried using specialist metalic thread needles, and following all manner of tips and advice found online for sewing with it, machine adjustments, etc to no avail. It shreds then breaks, or just breaks. Seems to be fine hand stitching so I guess over time I will use it up but having bought a modern machine with a multitude of embroidery options, that was the aim. Sadly cant even do a simple straight stitch for more than an or two. Ive given 3 stars because it does feel like a good thread and the colours are vibrant and lovely, but buyer beware, there are obviously some machines that simply don't like it.

Direi che sono rimasta favorevolmente colpita dalla qualità di questo prodotto il filo resistente lo sto usando per fare dei lavori al chiacchierino che richiedono molti sfregamenti del del filo per via di svariati passaggi e il filo risulta molto resistente e non si rompe i colori sono brillanti. Non ho usato il filo con una macchina da cucire per cui non posso esprimermi sotto questo punto di vista ma lo trovo davvero un buon prodotto
