Not Particle
First, two of these take up a lot of room in a freezer. When frozen, these are hard-to-access or break free the ice cubes leaving a mess. I found the standard refrigerator ice cubes worked fine.

Not much "ice" for the space
This product looked to solve an issue for me, and it turns out it doesn't. I had three silicone ice trays stacked in the freezer and wanted to reduce it to one that would make the same amount of ice in 1/3 the time. The footprint of this thing is about three stacked ice trays. I poured water in, exactly like it said. Put it in the freezer for 6 hours, and when I opened it, cracked it up, and pulled out the plastic cylinder, the amount of ice "cubes" it produced was equivalent to ONE ice tray. I know because I poured the ice from it into one of the ice trays and it almost filled it.I put cubes in "quotes" because these are bizarre cubes. They are the equivalent of crushed ice. Tiny little broken pieces, shards really, that are sort of half marbles but not pretty looking. It probably is enough to fill two small glasses.I keep loose ice I made with my other trays on the door so I can casually add them to drinks. These shards are so small I can not keep them there, and needed to add a small bowl to the freezer to save the shards. When I came home from work, the shards had melded together into a bowl shape that I had to dethaw enough to break up with a pick. So, in conclusion...if you are looking to free up space in your freezer, and want to knock three ice trays down to one - THIS IS NOT THE INVENTION FOR YOU. If you want to relax with a glass, or two of crushed ice at the end of the day, and that is the extent of your ice needs, you are golden. You will just have to refill it every night. I think am going to use it to ice bottles of wine when I am on a trip or something, because a bottle of wine can sit comfortably in the core of this, while you could sprinkle shards around it to keep it chilled. Otherwise, this is a lot cooler in form, than actual function.

Small cubes
Probably better to use as wine chiller. When making ice cubes the central cylinder allows leaking from cube area making removal a pain. We bought regular silicone ice trays and now use the ice genie minus the central cylinder as an ice storage bucket.

Very underwhelming
I bought this thinking what a great idea. First you can store the ice cubes in the center to save room is what they claim. This is true, however, the insert that keeps the water in the channels to freeze is bottomless sssoo if you make several batches (as they suggest) you have to dump the contents of the middle into a bowl, pull out the insert, get the new cubes out and poured into the bowl, reinsert the insert, put more water in THEN dump the ice cubes you put in the bowl back into the middle chamber only to repeat later when you are ready to make more cubes. It works as advertised, it’s just meh.

This genie did not grant my wish
The item itself works fine but makes small, sh$&@y ice cubes. The only reason I’m giving this three stars is because I use it with my other ice trays. I make a few trays of ice, then pop them out into the genie when they’re ready. You can store a bunch of ice in there, and it beats having to negotiate with an ice tray every time you want a few cubes for your drink. But yeah don’t rely on the genie itself to make you ice. Unless you want that crushed stuff quickly. It doesn’t make much at a time. Maybe a quart of ice? Maybe.

Not convenient at all
This is a good product in theory but it doesn’t translate well to real life. Maybe mine was defective but the lid wouldn’t even fit right. It was easy to fill up but impossible to remove the inner part to actually get the ice out. Then you have to pour out all of the ice into a different container and put the middle back in, pour the ice back into the middle and fill it again, repeat. It would take several hours to actually fill it up and I decided I would rather get a regular ice cube tray before dealing with all of that over and over again. I didn’t even plan on trying to fill it up it’s just a pain to use in general. The materials are good it’s easy to clean it’s nice that it comes with tongs but for how much space it took in my fridge and the fact that the lid doesn’t fit and it was just a pain to get ice...I’m not a fan

Ice chips too small
I had higher hopes for this "ice maker". I did not have the problem that others did regarding the leaking at the bottom, but the individual ice "chips" are too small, and it's challenging to get the sleeve out once it's all frozen. I did decide to keep it as my official ice storage "bucket" and am using some other ice trays to make the ice. Maybe it will do well as a wine or champagne bucket? We'll see...

Better than regular, would prefer smaller.
Got this as a gift for a girl who loves ice, saw this on tik tok, and wanted this. Got it for part of her bday present. It’s pretty cool, but personally, I tried it, and I wish the ice cubes were just a bit smaller. They’re still solid and not suuuper easy to chew, but still better than traditional ice cubes! She adds just a tad bit of water to her batch, and she loves it. This girl loves ice..... I like the ice chips/shards that result from parts of it, but I would prefer the same thing, just a bit smaller chunks.
