    Not adequate for liquid chalk

I initially loved the look of these little chalkboards, but I want to use them with liquid chalk and the material just doesn't work well with those.  The first one got stained badly by the liquid chalk and I couldn't fully erase it.  Frustrated, I ended up buying a second one and spent a lot of time prepping it (using regular chalk on it and erasing it over and over again for a few weeks).  It took a bit longer for the chalk to stain it, but I ran into the same trouble.  Aside from this, the size is perfect and they look perfectly vintage.  They would be perfect for regular chalk, hence the 3 stars.

These are great! The only reason I give it 4 stars is because I have to spray paint it with new spray every time I use it, even with chalk. Great for parties for labeling foods and drinks.

    Very cute, but issues with cleaning

I bought this cute little chalkboard to hang around a beverage dispenser to indicate what the beverage was.  I used the liquid chalk and all was well until I went to remove the wording.  After putting a little elbow grease into it, the black portion of the chalkboard started to come off revealing a silvery background.  It's useless now for it's intended use.  I will probably convert it to a picture frame.
