The drop point style blade is fully enclosed, protected and held in place by a hard plastic case. The knife itself is made from a single piece of stainless steel and can be used right out of the case held in a solid positive grip even when wet and slippery. As with all Sand River Survival tools always wash and dry after use and apply a little light oil for years of service. Regular simple maintenance will help to keep your Hyhena in excellent condition.
