The heavy, but flexible canvas material is ruggedly stitched withcushy, padded back straps. This backpack is travel, one-carryon worthy, that's how mucy room there is. Enough for a laptop, too. There is a lunchbox-type canvas bag (fully insulated for hot/cold foods) which can double as a smart-looking canvas purse if you don't need a lunch box. This too is of sturdy construction. Then there is an even smaller purse like part of the ensemble you can use for makeup, papers, cards, as an oversized wallet, which can fit inside the larger bag I referred to earlier. If you used the lunchbox as a purse with the smaller purse inserted into the larger purse, the backpack can hold a laptop, 2 changes of casual clothes (neatly folded, of course) and a pair of shoes and toiletries.
