This brass swivel adapter converts 5/16" female SAE charging-vacuum ports on new R410A ductless mini split systems to 1/4" male SAE gauge connections, enabling compatibility with standard gauge hose sets. ## Description

New R410A Ductless Mini Split Systems are usually equipped with a different charging port size to avoid charging of wrong refrigerant into the system (i.e. R22). This new port size is 5/16" SAE and some gauge sets carry 1/4" SAE connectors. Port adapter converts the 5/16" SAE ports to use with 1/4" SAE gauge sets.

Review: Worked as it should -- no leaks - Ductless Mini Split System charging vacuum port adapter This adapter, or the equivalent Yellow Jacket 19173, is mandatory for all Pioneer mini-split systems and others with 5/16" SAE service ports. Attach this adapter using grooved pliers to tighten and thus prevent leaks, but don't over-tighten. I.e., hand tightening might leak. You can then attach 1/4" flare fitting hoses available from Yellow Jacket and others, and use a manifold set or other gauges. Before using this adapter, check to see if the Schrader valve depressor was factory installed at the female end as some apparently are shipped without them – which renders it useless. I used this adapter for a new Pioneer mini-split install to vacuum the system and it worked as designed – hence the 5 star review. Customer Photos show the adapter in use. Review: If you need to service your mini split you need this - Had a poor performing Mini Split system after 6 years of use. Used this system with some refrigerant and stop leak to get the system back up and running. The system cooling was working just fine, but wouldn't heat during the winter. It is now working perfectly.

**Q: will it fit evap service pot ?**
A: No, this is not an evap service port adapter. This is for recharging a/c on a mini split system

**Q: Do you sell the O ring that fits inside?**
A: go to an AC store and i think you can buy them

**Q: I would like a dy so i understand there is no problem for connection.  is there any 12000 btu**
A: Yes, and that unit can take 120 volts.  The larger units require 220 volts.  This can save running a new electric line. Mount both units, hook up electrical connections, connect lines, vacuum pump the lines, see if the vacuum holds for 30 minutes, open up the outdoor lines to let the Freon out, power up and enjoy.
