Great chalk markers, happy with purchase
Nice, bright, vibrant chalk markers. Any reviewers saying that they were dried out or something did not read the instructions and/or have never used a paint marker, because these work just like those; press the tip down for a while & pump it a bit & it will start to flow--no problem. Also, don't use on porous surfaces, as per instructions. I use these on a peel & stick whiteboard we have on the refrigerator for notes etc. I have also used these on a little cheap-o (non-porous) chalkboard sign I bought from Hobby Lobby that I hang on my door sometimes for either a "welcome" or "please, no soliciting" sign, tee-hee. Markers & chalkboard make it look a lot nicer than just saying "go away!" Thanks, SuperChalks! Happy with my purchase.

Have to shake each pen 15+ minutes to get ink flowing
The first time I used these pens, we had to shake each one for 15+ minutes to get the ink flowing. The second time we used them, we couldn't get the ink to flow at all.

That was a very nice gesture and as a small business owner myself
I recently ordered these products and was surprised to receive an email from the company stating the proper use and context of the markers. I guess some people have purchased and were unhappy and returned them...? That was a very nice gesture and as a small business owner myself, I appreciate the personal touch.I have a couple wet erase boards, which are basically the same as dry erase, except they're black and you can use these markers on them. The contrast is much greater than on a white board and resembles those light-up blackboards, which generally run about $115. I have 2 boards in a fitness facility for daily motivation and people can generally read them from 10 feet away - depending on my handwriting. These colors pop! People go in for a closer look if they can't read from a distance. The pens create a fine line, but if you apply more pressure and get more product in the felt tip, you'll get a bolder line. To clean my board I use a wet sponge ( multiple rinses may be needed depending on your line thickness) and paper towel to dry. The directions also state that these can be used on any hard, non-porous surface. I haven't tried them on anything else. These would work great in a restaurant, coffee shop, or anywhere you want to have a static or variable greeting, menu, or something fun to make people smile or think.

all of them erase fine with a damp cloth
I own one set of chalk markers and wanted more. There were so many different brands I decided to order several and compare them. I didn’t receive any of my markers free for review. In addition to the Bistro markers, which I already had, I ordered sets of: Liquid Chalkers; SuperChalks; and CraftyCrocs. Note that I only use these types of markers for writing notes on chalkboard “clings”; all of them erase fine with a damp cloth. On other surfaces or if you have kids that love to color with them, your mileage may vary.Bistro markers. They took approximately 1 minute each to prime; their “coverage” quality is quite good; the colors are rich and bright; I’ve had them about 6 weeks and the writing still looks good after using them several times a week. Their bullet tips are pretty durable. Made in Japan.Liquid Chalkers. Set of 4 markers. Priming times were 18.3 sec; 52.4 sec; 36.9 sec; 21 sec.; these were by far the fastest priming whether just holding the tips in or “pumping them”. These are runnier than the others I’ve tried and the colors are not as bright; it looks like they either don’t have as much pigment in the liquid chalk or maybe it just isn’t very soluble in the liquid component. Just bought them so can’t tell much about their longevity. The chisel tips appear to be very durable. Made in China.SuperChalks. Priming times varied widely from 18.5 sec for the white to 2.10 minutes for the purple; most were under a minute. Coverage and colors are similar to the Bistro and Crafty Crocs. Bullet tips deformed the most of any of these markers during priming. Too soon to tell about longevity. Made in China.Crafty Crocs. Priming time was fairly uniform between 1 - 1.1 minutes; coverage and colors similar to Bistro. Just bought them so can’t tell much about their longevity. The chisel side of the tips appears to be relatively durable, but they did deform a little during priming. I would have tried the bullet side of the reversible tips, but it was so messy pulling them out to turn them around I didn’t. Too soon to tell about longevity. Made in China.

One of the markers had no tip!
My orange marker didn't come with a tip so it's absolutely useless. I would have returned it but i only realized it after I had used some of the other ones. You all need to double check your markers as soon as you get them to make sure they have a tip. I know from an email they sent (after it had shipped FYI) that the markers don't work well on porous chalkboards so I haven't tried that. However I have used them on glass and while they write very well, it is very difficult to clean the class afterwards. I used so much windex trying to get it off and the glass still looks smudgy. Oh well at least they were cheap.

These worked exactly as I hoped. They took a bit of shaking / pressing to get flowing, but the pens work perfectly once primed. Colors are bright and dense and clean up easily (Note: I have only used them on the chalkboard Contact paper). The bright colors are easy to read, even from a good distance. The original set is for the kitchen (to-do and grocery lists) and the gym (workout history and planning). The family loved the way it looked so we bought another roll of paper and additional set of markers for use in other rooms - but likely more creative / fun stuff in the kids' bedrooms.Great, inexpensive way to help stay organized & motivated or just to have fun.

Older chalk board they become like paint and it doesn't come off
Be careful what surface you use them on. Older chalk board they become like paint and it doesn't come off.
