## Description

Dock your PSP go system to charge it, sync contents with your PC or use video-out to view on a big screen

Review: Great Edition to the PSPgo - I must first disclose that I love docks. I bought a 3rd party one for my PSP-1000 and I have one for my Cybershot and for my iPhone etc. It just makes it nice to set your system on something, not just a cable to dingle around. First thing to then keep in mind is that this is just the dock. No cables come with it. You have to use the ones with your system. So what can this puppy do? Simple thing is to just have an area to charge your PSPgo on. Set it down and walla, it charges. But, if you want a little more, you can then directly hookup the PSP USB cable to it as well so when you set it down, not only does it charge but can auto sync with the Sony Media Manager software. So now on the dock, I can charge and sync new content over to my system. Also, if you purchase the proper cable, the dock acts as a video out so you can then set your system up on the dock and plug it to your receiver or TV. Sleek and functional is all I have to say. Only con I would have to say is that it uses up the USB and power cable that you own so when you wanna go, you either have to take your cables apart or purchase a second pair which is what I did.
Review: Versatile and Useful - The cradle allows you to charge your PSP while playing games on your TV, and for that reason alone, I feel it is worth it. The PSPgo has a universal port that allows only one cable to be needed for power and USB connecting. You can either use the cable that shipped with the system and connect it to the AC Adapter for power while you play, or you can use it to connect the PSPgo to a computer and transfer files and/or charge while the PSPgo is in USB Mode. The fact that it can only charge via a USB cable while in USB mode (even though it is connected via the same port it normally receives power to) is frustrating, but it is understandable from a technical standpoint (pins on the port normally allocated for power and the voltage coming from whatever it's connected to, switching those pins to receive slight power while in USB Mode etc). That is why charging via USB Mode takes about twice as long as with an AC Adapter. I personally dislike switching around wires, and I am a huge fan of docks because it allows a spot for the owner of a device to just sit their devices into and forget about it. Someone who uses AC Adapters may think this is trivial, but I can assure most of you reading this, if you can afford to get a dock, you will not regret it. The best part about this dock is the 5V adapter for DC Power (the same plug the older PSP models use). The PSPgo can in fact do video out for gaming and media to a TV via component cables. Also, the PSPgo can be synced and controlled with a PS3 controller via Bluetooth (a PS3 and USB cables for the PSPgo and PS3 Controller are needed, in addition to at least 2 empty USB ports on the PS3). The PSPgo has a smaller screen than previous PSPs, and I am not a huge fan of the control-setup. This functionality is awesome, and made for a very comfortable gaming experience. Connecting it to the TV is as easy as plugging in the cable and holding down the Display button at the top of the system (if that doesn't work, just navigate over to Display Settings on the XMB). The only problem with that is because of the nature of the Universal Port, while gaming without the dock, your battery will be drained. I feel that this aspect highly limits the functionality of this system for that purpose. One of my complains is that my PSP is a bit wobbly in the dock, but I'm not doing a rain dance around my desk, nor do I live in an area prone to earthquakes, so it's just fine. I mainly use the dock for my PC (totally not the reason I got it for!), but I would definitely spend another $20 to keep one by my TV full-time. It's cheaper on desertcart than it is at Gamestop.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does what any good cradle should
*by S***E on January 21, 2010*

This small piece of hardware is awesome. Docks the PSP go in an upright position (great for charging, syncing, video-out, or charging while outputting video). It's rather heavy and definitely won't go tip over without a lot of persuasion, and has rubber feet to keep it from sliding away. It looks snazzy sitting on my desk. My only beef with it is that in order to charge while outputting video (and you'll want to, especially if you decide to play with a PS3 controller), you have to buy the original PSP's charger. I hadn't foreseen that.
