This assembly includes a 3M 6000 Series Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator and two 3M 2091 P100 Particulate Filters. This assembly is NIOSH approved for environments containing certain oil and non-oil based particles. When properly fitted, this respirator helps provide protection in a variety of applications including welding, brazing, torch cutting, metal pouring, soldering, and exposure to lead asbestos, cadmium, arsenic, and MDA at concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL). This respirator is remarkably comfortable, soft, and lightweight, and features easy-to-adjust head straps. The swept-back design of the cartridges helps improve balance and visibility. Easy-to-adjust head straps allow for a customized fit to the user. With being highly allergic to dust and other fine air-borne particles (we're talking sinus infections within a day with little exposure), and working around potentially dangerous substances, I needed a respirator that would fit well, get me into the locations with confidence, and keep me safe. I tried a few disposable masks which worked well and kept me from sinus infections. However, buying a new one for each location became too costly, and sometimes, they're hard to find. I didn't want a full-face mask that might obstruct clear view of my camera settings and other equipment, plus I wear glasses, and admittedly am a bit claustrophobic. This mask is the perfect solution. It fits securely over my nose and mouth. It's lightweight and comfortable to wear for the hours I spend on location for my photography and it filters out all the potential nasties that I could come in contact with. I haven't had a sinus infection since using this mask. Being rated P100 for asbestos, I am confident that it will also filter out any essence of vermin and critters in the locations.
