This is powerful little head phone amp that can be taken anywhere to inspire some riffin' wherever you might be when a full blown amp setup is not possible. The Headplug is a Micro size (just a little bigger than 1/4" plug) guitar headphone amplifier, that you can plug it to guitar and listen via headphone. The sound quality is acceptable; considering its size, price, and intended purpose (personal practice) I would say the sound quality is great for what it is supposed to do, and for what it costs (less than $25). Is it going to blow you away? No. Does it fit in your pocket, and allow you to practice late into the night? Absolutely--lol, if you have big ears, this might fit behind your ears. Especially happy that it has MUCH less interference than the "Mini Pocket Guitar Amp Amplifier Joyo Ja-03 Tube Drive" I tired first. There is still some interference when used in the room with active wi-fi router, bluetooth devices, and cell phones (that's the only room I can practice in!) However, the interference is totally bearable unlike the Joyo one (Joyo made pud pud pud noises that drove me nearly mad). A note: There is no gain/volume control on the device. It has no control at all. If neither your instrument nor your headphones have knobs, basically, you would need something else. Update: Battery life has been great The box says 10-15 hours depending on volume. I charged it the first night I got it and haven't had to recharge it since, definitely >10 hours, maybe >15 hours (or am I flattering myself?), and it's still going. Used both with aux cable connected speakers or headphones with no problem. Adding box picture with specs, since some of the specs aren't available on desertcart, but is on their website, pasted below. Specification: Output Power: 250mW(8 ohm), 100mW(32 ohm) Frequency Response: 10 Hz - 40 kHz Battery: Li-ion, 10-15 hours of play time per charge depending on volume. Weight: 2 oz Review: Volume is low, but the compact design is nice. - I want to give this 2 stars because the sound quality and low volume is really disappointing, BUT the compact size and good design (headphone jack is at an angle) is very appealing, so I had to give it 3. The ability to recharge this is also really nice. Overall, in comparison to the Belcat HPA-101 that is $11 cheaper, I found this to be a let down. I will try charging this some more in hopes that a "full charge" may improve the sound quality? I will upgrade my rating and review if anything improves. PROS: -Re-chargable -Headphone jack inserts at an angle so it does not dig into your leg when you're sitting -Compact CONS: -Poor sound quality (muted and muddy) -Low volume -Expensive **REVIEW UPDATE** After charging this fully there was no increase in volume still using my Sennheiser HD 202 headphones. HOWEVER, then I use my Apple earbuds, the volume is a little better and the sound quality is more clear. Decent results with ear buds but a nice pair of studio earphones will reward the player with your guitar's true tone. Very transparent sound with little to no coloring. Not very loud but makes up for lesser volume with great tone! Perfect for taking my Tele to the beach or park.
