Amazing book - definitely one for the re-read collection
Tony Evans and his daughter surpassed my expectations with this outstanding book. They touched upon key and relevant topics, whilst opening my eyes to things that I never considered i.e the woman being alike to the role of the Holy Spirit. They have really defined the role of a Kingdom woman for me. I will definitely be re-reading my highlights from this book in the near future!

Without a doubt one of the best and most powerful reads
Without a doubt one of the best and most powerful reads. It has been heavily underlined and I read it with my bible by my side. It will most definitely be a treasured book in my shelf and one I will be sure my daughter reads!

This book is so inspiring for women who are pursuing to ultimately follow Christ. No matter whether you have a past or not any woman who seeks to follow Christ with all her heart, mind, body and soul can surely be a kingdom woman. God does not discriminate. I really do recommend this book to women young and old.

Tony Evans mansplains how to be a Christian woman
I'll just be blunt here: men writing books for women about how to be women is absurd.Disagree? Okay, when is the last time you saw a book written by a woman for men about how to be a man? If a woman wrote a book about how a man can "Embrace [His] Purpose, Power, and Possibilities," would you want to read that for any reason other than to rubberneck a disaster? And yes, I know the book is "co-written" by Tony Evans' daughter, Chrystal Evans Hurst. But she just provides vignettes from her life, most of which are about her father. I doubt her material accounts for even a quarter of the book. The bulk of the teaching and content in this book is Tony Evans' words.Look, men, you already control the pulpits, the commentaries, the seminaries, the theologies, and, well, the world. Is it too much to ask that you leave instructions on how to be women to, y'know, actual women? If the whole "men mansplaining to women how to be women" thing wasn't bad enough, the very first page of this book calls Virginia Woolf a "nineteenth-century author." Does Evans seriously not know what century Woolf is associated with? Has he not made enough money to hire a good editor by this point? (And I'm pretty sure that wasn't the only time I caught an author placed in the wrong century.)It's all downhill from there. There's an entire chapter on how Christian women can be better housekeepers in which Evans advises women that if they're overwhelmed with the housework, they should hire someone to help. Because God forbid that a man help his wife around the home. One of Chrystal's vignettes is about how she left her son with Evans in a cabin, and Evans went to a back room and didn't watch his grandson like he was supposed to, so the toddler went running out into traffic chasing cars. I kid you not, they try to turn this into a spiritual analogy.I'm not one of those egalitarians who rates a complementarian book down just for being complementarian, but this book is just cringe-worthy with its ignorance about the actual lives of working women.Do not recommend.

Kingdom Woman is a captivating and vivid portrait of what a mature faith and relationship with the LORD looks like.
Tony Evans and daughter, Chrystal Evans Hurst, provide revelatory insight from God's Word regarding what defines, and is expected of Kingdom Women. Evans cites notable applications in stories of women in the Bible. Hurst points to stories of more contemporary examples, as well as her own personal testimonies that shed light on God's nurturing and pruning of daughters into Kingdom Women. Kingdom Woman is a captivating and vivid portrait of what a mature faith and relationship with the LORD looks like.

Find yourself in Him and Keeping Pressing On
It would serve well to use it for Women's Ministry. It is well organized and the chapters are manageable. Read a chapter a day and gives clear distinction of what type of woman is a [God's] Kingdom Woman. On section I liked was about how a woman of excellence keeps pressing on. (Philippians 3:12-14)"... short memory coupled with a clear direction.. forget yesterday whether it was good, bad, or ugly, if it's yesterday you need to let it go" - Tony Evans, Kingdom Woman

VERY UPLIFTING
Reading this book has given me more insight to who I am in Jesus Christ. It's given me the strength to go out into the world as a woman and see my nursing career as a ministry , God's ministry and return home to my husband and be a kingdom woman serving him with love. Loving my two teenagers with the love of a kingdom mother. I am not perfect but I walk by faith daily and give God the lead part in my life. I love to read Dr. Evans books. I Can tell by his books and sermons that he has spent many hours in God's presence listening and obeying.

Nice Group-Read Book
I got this book because a group of the ladies at my church decided to read it together since some of the guys/husbands were reading Kingdom Man and comparing notes and ideas with one another. We are now up to Chapter 4 and so far it has been fun to read and comment on the text and comment/contemplate ideas and/or questions the group leader poses. As far a content - there are probably only a few 'new ideas' in living and coping advise for today's godly women but even the basic daily advise and encouragement it offers is a neat way to connect with other ladies , especially in a group of ladies of different ages and places in their lives as the book has something for everyone to learn or be reminded of -- from late teens to older widows, ladies with kids of all ages, or no kids at all. Also presents a look into the problems or issues of the ladies around you who live with different challenges than your life presents to you.

A Kingdom Woman is a Woman of Excellence!
As a womens ministry leader, I was excited to see this book! From cover to cover, the book is filled with ideas for being a Kingdom Woman. The book redefines the Proverbs 31 woman as we know her, and shows how ordinary women are living lives of purpose. As the author writes "Excellence is a spiritual issue. It differs from success because success generally has to do with how much money you make, what job you have, or how much prestige you receive. Success has to do with reaching a level that the world recognizes as successful. While success belongs to a few, excellence is available to all." All women have the opportunity for excellence in God's Kingdom.Using biblical references, the authors anchor the key concept of living as a Kingdom Woman, right where you are. "A woman made in the image of God should never settle for being treated as anything less than an image-bearer of the one true King," writes Tony Evans. This is not another book to pressure women into something they are not; this is a book about using the gifts you already have and exploring your role as a Daughter of the King. The authors teach "A kingdom woman knows her true value and shows the reflection of how God sees her. She makes God's standard her own in all that she does." Get the book and discover your own Kingdom reflection. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did!

ReAssuring
Kingdom Woman was excellently written to help reassure my identity in Jesus Christ. It is bok I recommend all women's ministries to read and discuss as it is empowering. The fact Mr. Evans and his daughter wrote it together gave the perspective of the man and tthe reality of the woman which in fact helped me to appreciate the relationshipand resppnsibility to God between both the kingdom man and kingdoom woman.I look forward to reading more of Evans and Hurst.

Insightful!
Amazing read! I started reading this book after I got married and then took a break from it. My then husband and I hit a rough patch in our marriage and I was lead back to reading my bible and this book as well. I wished that I had finished this book when I first started! It was extremely insightful and informative pertaining to many of the life issues we face when taking on a new life through Christ. I’d recommend this to any woman who is seeking Godly knowledge and learning how to accept the old while trusting God to build for your future!

Being a Kingdom Woman Is Needed Today!
What an honor to read this book. After viewing the YouTube Legacy video of Lois Evans with her daughters and the Live kitchen segment of Lois Evans with her daughters, it all make sense. Lois Evans was a Kingdom woman and she passed that legacy to her girls and family and women everywhere. Tony Evans and Chrystal did an excellent job on this book!

Kingdom Woman
There are not enough good things that can be said about this book (I'd give it 10 stars if I could)!!! Read it for yourself, buy a copy for the women in your life (I did), read it together with "The Kingdom Agenda" (also by Dr. Evans), and pick up the guy's version ("The Kingdom Man" for your spouse/fiance/boyfriend, dad, brothers, male cousins, or good guy friends). It is an absolute game-changer!Rev. Tony Evans and his daughter, Crystal, really unpack the meaning of the realities of living as a Kingdom Woman in today's society. It's Biblical truth with everyday application. God bless them both for providing Christian women with a thougth-provoking action-inspiring guide about what God requires of us, as women!
