Review: High quality - I was a professional baker in my past, so I am extremely picky on any cake equipment. I bought this as a gift, so I haven't opened any of the spatulas or scrapers, but from what I could see, they looked to be good quality. I did take the turntable out so I could inspect it, & am very impressed. It's a good weight, and is level & steady, so there should be no cake catastrophes due to weak plastic wobbles or breaks from an extra large or heavy cake. The turntable glides silently, smoothly, and is very easy to spin & control. I am very impressed with this product, & was really surprised to find the quality level as high as it was at this price point. I'm honestly very tempted to order another one for myself.

**Q: My biggest fear is the cake sliding and ruin it. How secure is this turntable? I don't want to buy it and then regret it because it does not work.**
A: I haven't had and issues with the cakes sliding. I love my Kootek.  My granddaughters use it too. No problems!!

**Q: Does this turn with ball bearings?**
A: Yes. The ball bearings create such a smooth, quiet turning.

All buyers beware -- do NOT put this in the dishwasher. My husband ruined mine. Completely unsalvageable.

**Q: Are these products FDA approved?**
A: The US FDA regulates food contact surfaces. Cookware and utensils fall under this category. The FDA does not require approval for every piece of cookware or utensil before it hits the market, but the materials from which it is constructed must be “generally regarded as safe” (GRAS) and it must be free of hazardous defects and design flaws to be in compliance with the FD&C act. Bought it because of the review of the smoothness of the turn table cake stand and did not disappoint. Super smooth and quiet 2 direction functionality. The bonus decorating items that came with it were also nice to have. I took the advice of a few reviews and do protect the stainless from cut marks. Pretty enough to keep the cake on it to serve if you like. Really like the circular guidelines on the top to help center cakes. Excellent product. packaging is also wonderful to keep it safely stored.
