Simple easy to understand nutrition planning
This book is a must for triathletes trying to figure out their nutrition. Too much or too little can be a disaster. Very easy to calculate nutrition for all distances and athletes because it uses predicted times and your specific body weight. A game changer for those who struggle with getting nutrition right!

The best one of the Triathlon Taren series
I'm currently in training for my first Ironman and this book was really helpful. I had always been one of those meatheads that would forego nutrition during a race cause "I can bear it". For me the scariest part of any long distance tri is the amount of time spent on the bike. The book provided the knowledge I was lacking to make those long training rides more tolerable through proper nutrition planning. I'm very excited to use this knowledge when I get to race.

Absolutely essential
I am new to triathlon and got Taren’s whole Fundamentals series: Running, Swimming, Bike, and Nutrition. They are phenomenal: beautifully and entertainingly written and well as incredibly informative and inspiring. I can’t recommend them enough (and already have to fellow newbies.)

Easy to read. Good primer on practical race nutrition.
Implementing race nutrition is an art form. But like any art form, there are some basic guidelines backed by evidence based science. Ultimately, it is up to each athlete to learn what works and doesn't work. Taren's book gives the reader a solid foundation on which to start learning the art and the science.

Great introduction to triathalon nutrition.I had been struggling with cramps for a long time.Read thos 2 weeks before my 70.3 race and used the calculator to change up my nutrition.Work like a champ and no cramps stomach issues or bonking!!

The 4th Triathlon Discipline in Total Clarity
An excellent book! Gives a clear strategy for racing and training nutrition planning without going ridiculously complex.The book is laid out in a logical sequence. The writing is very engaging; often humourous, always informative, never waffling.If you want scientific, in depth knowledge, this book gives you an excellent starting point to trigger further research.In my humble opinion, this book is essential for an increased understanding of the 4th Discipline in triathlon or any other endurance sport.To be clear, I am not a close friend of Taren and he hasn’t paid me for this review; this is genuine, from the heart.

Definitely a great book on an important topic for triathletes
Taren's book addresses key aspects of nutrition during training and racing. Some of these ideas Taren presents in the book were things I'd already experienced in my own training, thus confirming what I already knew and also presenting new concepts that I'll be testing out in the future. The online version of this book (narrated by Taren) is perfect to listen to during my long training runs and the calorie calculator/resources included in the digital version are quite handy to help get my nutrition metrics dialed right in. This is a great book for beginner/intermediate triathletes.

Basics
Gives you the basics to stay on top of nutrition! Nothing more nothing less! If I didn't have this book I would not have considered how important nutrition was regarding not only the IRONMAN event but the training leading up to it!

Love this book
I am already a huge fan of Triathlon Taren through his YouTube videos and his website but this book is great. I am learning to become a triathlete and I have been struggling with nutrition from the word go. Great, in depth explanations and tips to follow. Can't wait to put it in place. If you're new to all this like me or have been doing it for a bit and struggling on race day, this is the book for you.

Best triathlon nutrition book
It is really useful to understand how to control nutrition during a triathlon race which is fundamental. Now I know what to do while racing!

A really good read
I love the simplicity of the material in this book. The information is very digestible and gives you a great base to work from. All very relevant stuff for an amateur triathlete.
