Bubbles escape from most of them. My all-female tank guppy ended up having surprise babies and by the time I recognised they were actual fish and not tadpoles (first time having fish…) I panic-scooped them into my old betta bowl. It got cloudy quick but I don’t want to invest in a large tank until I separate the males from females. I just needed a smallish filter/bubbler and so far this seems to be working.The first pic shows how cloudy the water was the next morning after adding the babies into the betta bowl. Bubble surface in the second image. The bubbles are larger than I expected but they honestly aren’t a problem. In fact, the fry love riding them and playing in them. My cherry shrimpid also much happier. (And oxygenated. I feel horrible.)Third pic shows how much it’s cleared on the second day, though it’s hard to tell since I moved the bowl away from the window. But I can definitely tell a difference.So far so good. Will report back if it doesn’t keep working.P.s. Bought a small air pump and tube meant for a separate small stone bubbler.
