It will HOLD up to 350 pounds BUT the rails are not wide, cannot be removed or lowered so The bigger person would not be able to wipe without standing up! There is no room to open your legs. If you're large you have to sit with legs closed and most people don't use a toilet that way. I would only reccomend for average size person.
