I've chosen Eagle Creek Deviate after reading reviews comparing various travel packs. Most of these travel packs come with many practical features for travellers but I find the Deviate travel pack looks the best. The bag is well made with durable material. I love the design of a detachable daypack and the multifuctional Check-in Fly acting both as a rain cover and as a duffel. The discrete compartment hidden in the bottom of the lid and the RFID compartment in the daypack give a sense of security. The size is just perfect - enough for a 1-2 week trip and yet sized as a carry-on. A little pity that there's no dedicated space for my 15" laptop (doesn't fit into the compartment intended for a water bladder, but still can be stored in the main pack). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great bag for comfort, convenience and travel safety. *by S***S on Reviewed in the United States on 18 July 2017* I purchased this pack for a 4 week trip to Central America, and it worked great. It was a skosh to big to take on the plane, as I had a roll on it, but if you pack smart (and aren't flying a discount carrier) take it apart for your carry on and personal item. I used the included rainfly/duffle to check and it worked fine.This combo pack separates into a 45L and 15L pack, so I could leave the larger stuff in hostel lockers, and carry water, and incidentals with me.You can thread a cable through all of the zippers for use with a lock (of course, it won't stand against a knife), including the detachable top sack, so it keeps pickpockets at bay. Extremely comfortable (I tried on quite a few).
