The rotten egg smell was driving me nuts so this was a shot-in-the-dark solution. Installation was a breeze, water flow is uninhibited but the first few passes of my hard water with the aforementioned anode sulphur produced a foam initially for the first couple of minutes. After a week it stopped. So far it's been durable and keeps the water clean enough to shower without that horrid smell. Southwest water is notoriously "Hard" and mineral heavy anyway. I wish I knew about this in San Antonio.
