This bluetooth mouse was super easy to pair to the windows tablet (Bluetooth settings, click connect on discover-able mouse). It automatically connects back up when the mouse and PC are both turned back on, and i think it goes to sleep a little to save battery when left idle (have to click, move around sometimes after being idle too long). It is a nice size and fits easily in my purse with my tablet. I have a 'mini' mouse for my desktop at work, and this M557 is only about 3/4" longer than that, fits perfectly in my hand. It does take two AA batteries (my other mouse takes only 1, maybe is the bluetooth signal that uses more juice), the 2 AA batteries make it a little heavier than my other wireless mouse but its not a deal-breaker. There is no blinding blue light on the bottom of the mouse, which is nice. The Windows button works on Windows 10 to bring up your start menu, pretty cool. The scroll wheel is very smooth and not loud. Mouse clicks are slightly louder than my other mouse, but not a deal-breaker. The problem is Bluetooth. Bluetooth shares the same 2.4 GHz frequency band as USB 3 and many wireless (Internet) routers, so they can all interfere with each other. I have no problems with this mouse while I am using 5 GHz wireless Internet, even with USB 3. It also has good range, like 10 or 20 feet. But it's unreliable if I connect to 2.4 GHz wireless. Windows is supposed to be able to handle the interference, but it doesn't always work. (Linux works dramatically better than Windows on one of my computers.) I'm pretty sure this is the problem that people report with all Bluetooth mice. For more details see my review from 2017 if you can find it. **Q: Is the wheel also a button (press down straigt button) like it is at the Logitec M510 mouse?** A: The wheel also is a middle mouse click, but this function does not yet work with macOS Sierra 10.12.3. I was told Logitech is working on a fix. **Q: Does this mouse work with a galaxy tab (Android operating system)?** A: It will work with any computer or tablet that has Bluetooth. Put another way, any computer or tablet that can handle a wired mouse can handle this one (if it also has Bluetooth). Operating system doesn't matter. **Q: Does this work with windows 7 with out a dongle? has any one actually used it?** A: This mouse connects on Bluetooth. Yes it will work on Windows 7 but your computer must have Bluetooth. I never thought I'd say that, because a mouse is a mouse. But this one just works. It connects easily, stays connected, and tracks well on almost any surface. The tracking and scrolling speeds are just right without adjustment, and the buttons and wheel feel just right. No problems with Bluetooth. The box says it works with Linux too, although I didn't test it. You can't go wrong. Just buy it. UPDATE: It works fine with Linux; the mouse is still excellent, but Bluetooth is problematic. Read the update below. The directions are very brief, very easy to follow, and are printed on the inside of the package. To set it up, it takes a couple of minutes to "pair" it to the computer. You just press a button on the mouse and acknowledge it on the computer, and you're done. I got it for a Win 10 laptop/tablet, and the USB-C ports are too close together to hold both the power supply and a wi-fi mouse receiver. I bought a wi-fi mouse, USB-C adapter, and a small hub to make it all work. Turns out, USB-3 interferes with wi-fi, and the mouse action was jerky. With this mouse you don't have to fuss with any of that stuff. ========================== UPDATE: It turns out that Bluetooth uses the same frequency band with USB-3 AND 2.4 GHz wi-fi (B and G bands). In my case it worked for several months and then, suddenly it quit working. Bluetooth would instantly disconnect the mouse when I started a wi-fi connection. The computer manufacturer replaced the Bluetooth receiver, with no effect. The problem occurred with that computer running Windows 10 on any 2.4 GHz wireless network, but not with Linux or with any other computer. The only common denominator is the Windows Bluetooth driver for that computer, and I think that's probably the problem. From reviews of other Bluetooth mice, every review I found showed that a minority of people report connection problems--regardless of the price of the mouse. The problem appears to be Bluetooth itself, since it shares frequencies with other wireless standards. The software is supposed to handle the shared frequencies without problem, but it may not be iron-clad. I am now using the mouse with another computer, and it still works flawlessly.
