Boutique hand made picks costing anywhere between £5 and £8 a pick, to custom made stuff costing £20+ per pick and when I tried these I was blown away. Perfect thickness, sharp tipped for accuracy but beveled edges that have some grip on the string which I find preferable to smooth bevels it seems. Durable material that will last a long time with and excellent grippy texture for your thumb and finger. The size is great, bigger than a jazz more like a Jazz XL to hold. The grip is enough for good control but leaves enough non-grip space for the string if strumming etc. I would go as far to say these are the perfect picks out there for me anyway. I'll be a lifelong customer for sure.

**Q: Is this pick thick/hard enought for bass? Thanks.**
A: Yes you could play bass with them . I would find them a bit small. I prefer a wider pick for bass myself

**Q: What thickness are these picks?**
A: 1.5mm with bevelled edges to allow a finer level of control

**Q: the product details state that I need a pair of AA batteries for this product.  where do they go?**
A: Plectrums are thick but were not suitable for me as I needed one that I could grip and was flexible. It may be ok for a bass guitar but as I have never played base I cannot honestly say.  I did try out the battery idea and it fitted nicely into the packaging with the plectrums but did not seem to do anything. I spent many hours trying to insert the battery into the plectrum but to no avail. In the end rather than throw the battery away I inserted it into a clock, and it works just fine. Just had a thought could the description be at fault!!!!

Excellent picks. I've tried just about everything on the market. Boutique hand made picks costing anywhere between £5 and £8 a pick, to custom made stuff costing £20+ per pick and when I tried these I was blown away. Perfect thickness, sharp tipped for accuracy but beveled edges that have some grip on the string which I find preferable to smooth bevels it seems. Durable material that will last a long time with and excellent grippy texture for your thumb and finger. The size is great, bigger than a jazz more like a Jazz XL to hold. The grip is enough for good control but leaves enough non-grip space for the string if strumming etc. I would go as far to say these are the perfect picks out there for me anyway. I'll be a lifelong customer for sure.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice sharp and stiff pick - good replacement for XL Jazz 3s

I bought these on a recommendation as I used to use Dunlop XL Jazz IIIs (the red ones). These are sharper and have way better textured grip. Love 'em. They're also bright colours, so they don't blend in and 'hide' when you inevitably plonk them down on top of your amp at some point. Beginners may prefer something with a bit more flex, but once you start to need a bit more precision, these are the business. Review update: These are still great picks, but having used them for a while now i've deducted a star because the edges burr up and start catching if you so much as think about doing a pick-scrape. You can rejuvenate them with a quick sand of the edges, but this has been more of an issue with these than with Tortex, for example, so maybe Dan's picks are using a softer plastic? I also don't use these for acoustic so much, as I prefer a bit of flex on the strummy stuff.
