It seems like it's a quality skate but the other components leave much to be desired here. Before I replaced the bearings and laces, these skates were basically unwearable and unskateable. After sinking another 45 dollars into these skates that I already (over)paid 135 dollars for, they are finally wearable. The only serviceable part of these skates are the boot. They look nice, and they're comfy but that's it, it too so much to get them in usable condition. Rating switched to 2 stars because of the fact that I not only overpaid for these, but had to sink more money into them to get them to function properly.Edit: New laces save the day! First thing you do when you get these, ditch the laces they come with and nab some 108 inc Derby Laces. They saved these skates, they’re a bit tight in the toes but I can adjust with lacing techniques found on YouTube. Rating updated to 4/5 stars because the material still buckled a bit when I wear them.Imagine my excitement to find a pair of Impala skates in my size on Amazon when they are sold out everywhere else.Imagine my disappointment when I put them on, loosened the wheels (properly) and was met with a myriad of issues. I've been skating off and on for about 20 years, my first pair of skates was an old worn pair that my uncle used to trounce around in in the 70's and this was my first actually brand-brand new pair of roller skates in years. The shortage on things like this is insane but warranted as we're getting into the summer months and people are taking their newly vaccinated selves out on the town.With that being said, these skates are probably the biggest disappointment I've encountered purchasing something in a long time. Here are the issues I'm having:- I have laced and re-laced them no more than 10 times, following countless YouTube tutorials and even going as far as buying a new pair of laces to see if it works. The boot around the midpoint of my foot just buckles out and is loose, and even if I wrench down the laces, it still does it, no matter what I do, I can see my socks peaking out of the right side of the tongue.- Forget tightening and or loosening your wheels, because these things don't know what they want to do and where they want to go. It's been a real hassle trying to find the middle ground between getting them to roll uncontrollably and almost falling when I have the nerve to places my foot down to stride in them.I have broken in my fair share of roller skates and rollerblades, and these are by far, probably the worse pair of skates I have ever worn/owned and I used to skate in those horrible orange wheeled abominations at the skating rinks.The boots however are really comfortable when they're not adhered to my toes and feet because I can't get them tight to save my life. The laces they come with are horrible though.I'm going to make some modifications and come back and update my review afterwards if it changes anything but for now 2/5 stars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super nice! *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2022* My daughter wears a prosthetic foot and these are very nicely made to hold her leg properly.
