Review: Good quality cable, BASEC approved - “Solid quality 4mm twin and earth cable that feels well made and properly insulated. The thickness feels consistent and substantial along the full length, with no thin or weak spots. Flexibility is good too, making it easy to route around corners and through tight spaces without excessive kinking or stiffness. Identification is clear and straightforward, with the live, neutral, and earth cores easy to distinguish at a glance, which makes wiring work much more straightforward. The outer sheathing is tough and easy to work with, stripping cleanly without fraying. Being BASEC approved gives peace of mind that it meets proper safety standards. Used as part of a ring main installation carried out with appropriate care, and it performed exactly as expected. Good value for genuine compliant cable rather than questionable cheaper alternatives.”

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality cable, flexible and easy to use
*by M***R on 18 August 2025*

This was found to be good quality electrical cable that you generally use for wiring a lighting circuit. There are rules now about what work you can do yourself and you are not allowed to start a new circuit with this cable, only replace a faulty piece of existing cable or extend an existing circuit. You should be competent to carry out electrical work. I am competent because I was trained in electricity and electronics for a living. The power must be turned off before you start work. You must have an electrical detector that warns you if there is electricity in the circuit you are working on. It will check that the circuit is definitely not live. They are reasonably cheap and could save your life. If you are not competent I suggest you employ an electrician rather than purchase this cable yourself. I used this cable on a lighting circuit in my loft and was found excellent. It fulfilled the function it was intended for and flexible to use. The length was very good and plenty left after the job was finished.
