Awesome, crazy wide bars
Once installed, I found them to look crazy wide on the bike. After several rides and a bit of tweaking, I find them very comfy on gravel, trail and road . The shallow drop allows me to spend way more time in the drop position. I ride with barcons, and they work perfect as well- I just had to adjust the angles of the shifter a bit to compensate for the different angle of the bar ends. The slightly angled position of the brake lever gives a great hand position for riding on the hoods. The position of the brake levers is easily accessible from both hoods and drops. Overall, an excellent bar.

Great bars!
Great bars!!! These are much cheaper than Orange Velo bars and Salsa Woodchippers... Great ergonomics and am currently using it on my gravel grinder bike. Last 900 miles have been great! Riding in the hoods is a tad awkward at first but in the drops it's GREAT!. Bars are great with Shimano 105 shifters. Lots of room for hands with big palms. Last note, works great with quad lock phone mount.

nice handle bar; handle bars looked like a return
i hate when something i buy is sold as new, and is not. it can be like new, display, sample, lightly used, or even opened box. but don’t list as new if it isn’t. guessing handle bar is other than new -two zip ties holding bar to packaging were cut. slight straight line marring where bar is clamped. as for bars, i have to finish the set up i.e. brake handles, tape. the bar looks solid, and i am guessing whether i like the bar or not, is based on preference.

Great Bars, but lack of marks makes installation more difficult.
I bought these to replace the Cowbell 3's on a 2015 Salsa Vaya. I have recently re-entered the cycling world, and as a former road racer and long distance tourist, I enjoyed riding a lot of new bike designs this past year, including several with flared handlebars. I liked the shallow drop and wider stance on the drops. I was a little concerned that my Sora STI shifters (brifters) would be difficult to operate from the drops, but this was not a problem. Shifting is a little harder from the drops, but not much, and braking is almost unchanged. Although the hoods are now canted steeply inward (it looks like almost 45 degrees) I still find riding on them comfortable. My riding position feels a little different, and I may shorten my stem by about a centimeter. The bars have a very slight upward tilt on the "flat" so that may be it. Changing stems is easy though. I like these bars and would give them five stars except for one reason: There are NO MARKS to help mount the brake hoods or even to center them. It would take very little to add this very useful tools to ease setup and installation. In fact, I cannot fathom the obvious omission. It seems so basic.... But buy these anyway. Shipping was fast, but expect a huge box. Amazon definitely over packed them.

Could use some installation marks but other than that great.
First and foremost these bars aren't for the narrow shoulder type. If you have super narrow shoulders you will probably not like them, but you have 100s of other bars for you. Also the angle in which you shift will be weird for a second but easy to overcome in a ride or two. Where these bars really excel is overall comfort. I really don't feel my arms or shoulder sockets being beat on as bad during rides. If you are a wide shoulder boi then stop looking and buy em. Sure you have other options out there but any of the good ones cost 2 to 3 times as much.

Life changing handlebar ;-)
Ok, I exaggerate slightly. But I used to think all road bars were narrow 40-44cm drop bars. That was miserable for me, because it really cramps my arms into my body, which is uncomfortable. Yet my hands are the most pain free when holding brifters. So this is a revelation! Took quite a bit searching to discover wider drop bars. Decided on this when the Crust Bikes Towel Rack handlebars were sold out, and it's changed everything I thought I knew about dropends.I used to only put my hands on the straights and brifters. Putting hands on drops were just for speeding downhill (rare in my city which is flat) and not comfortable otherwise. I did have a Ritchey Comp Venturemax, but that wasn't working for me. Tried converting the gravel bike drops to flat bar with Sora, but the bike was too short, and changed it back to brifters, with this Gary Ergo Sweep. It's amazing. Only had it for 2.5 weeks, but I almost never use the straight part anymore, though I've got cross top brake levers, and I've double taped the drops with Bell HAND ROLL 300 Handlebar Tape, also ordered here from Amazon, and it's so comfortable. For the first time, the drops have become a genuine alternative hand position for cycling for me. I have noticed my left hand still goes a little numb after riding for over 30 minutes, so I've ordered the Salsa woodchipper 44 and 46cm, as it looks like the brifters will be more vertical, while still twisting the lower half of the drops out . But man, this Origin 8 has really opened my eyes. I'll perservere for a while longer while awaiting delivery, and see what happens.I've tried to upload some pics showing: a collage of the installed bar ; some pics taken when it first arrived out of the plastic bag, and a pic of the Gary Ergo Sweep on top of my OEM Jones H bar- you can see the true width of the Origin 8!

Perfect off road drop bar. Not bad on the road too!
These are GREAT. Wide enough for excellent control, shallow enough that I use the drops more than I thought I would. I paired these with Microshift road levers, and they work very well. The handlebar accommodates a wide range of positions and the center 31.8 area is wide enough to mount my accessories. These handlebars have me thinking about converting all of my mountain bikes to drops. lol
