We checked it a couple of times to see if there's any sign of chipping or rusting but we didn't find anything wrong. I am glad that I purchased this item and I definitely recommend this to anyone who would like to get a new tortilla press. Made making tortillas a heck of a lot faster than rolling out with a pin or by hand! Update: I decided to put a couple of rubber washers on the handle bolt, now I'm not worried about getting metal shavings in my tortillas! I suggest either the seller start including a couple of small rubber washers or just buy a couple when purchasing this press. Just a suggestion. I also added a lock washer to the same bolt handle, it had been loosening after a few uses.
