For the price, get this stringer and keep your bow in great shape. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked, but not the best design for my bow *by E***S on August 19, 2024* I bought this stringer to put the string on a 68" custom made 46# wooden recurve barebow. A 46# recurve is no joke and I am pretty strong guy, but I could not get it to work. The saddle end kept sliding down toward the riser which made it pretty ineffective at bending the limbs. I was about to give up and send it back until I watched a YT video where the guy used a similar style stringer on a strong-ish recurve. The trick was he used two feet instead of one to hold down the stringer. What that does is allow you to put more pressure directly under the floating saddle to keep it from sliding down toward the riser. Using two feet I was able to keep the saddle closer to the limb tip and while it was still not easy, I was able to string the bow. I suspect over time I will get the technique down and it will get easier. So yeah it worked, but one with a cup on each end would have worked better with this particular bow. While they may sell a lot of these style, it is not the best design in my opinion.
