Compared to my NLT, it feels more like a cozy novella to hold than a formal semi–textbook [the feel of the NLT when considering size alone]. I love both and appreciate both translations and design.Format and design ― I love the teal, and contrary to the color in the photos, you’ll find the teal to be much warmer [closer to neon coastal oceanic green than the baby blue depicted]. the silver letters outside on the cover is refreshing and beautiful to look at. For this specific NASB, I appreciate the size of the cross references and how they’re organized. They don’t interrupt with the reading flow, i.e., they aren’t too big or ‘in your face’, and their pointers are formulated to be subtle and discrete within the text that are clear enough to let you know where to find them. The font size of 11.25 is accurate; they’re legible and easy on the eyes; suitable for long studying hours. Words of the Lord is in maroon red.Print and paper quality ― The faux leather cover is soft to the touch and comfortable to hold. Unlike with my NLT Bible from Tyndale, this leather–soft material isn’t as prone to fingerprint, which is a plus. Words are clear and easy to read. Pages are thin and most of them stick together when they first arrive so be gentle with those flips when you’re using the book for the first time.Some more tips: For those interested in getting bible tabs for this, be sure to flip those pages to ensure you aren’t sticking the tab for 2 pages at once because they’re super thin and some are sticking together.Overall, loving this Bible thus far from Holman. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Good Construction with Easily Readable Text *by on Reviewed in the United States January 8, 2025* This review is for the New American Standard version Bible. It is constructed well with a nice teal-colored “leather-like” cover. I saw an earlier review where someone said the paper was thin. It is thin, but it seems durable. Because this is a smaller sized Bible, I’ve since ordered a set of mini Bible index tabs. I believe they will help find the sections I’m looking for and the tabs will likely save wear & tear of pages. I would say this is an important book. Take care of the pages and the book will help take care of you. This is also a large print version and that makes reading much easier.
