Review: Baccano Vol. 4 - This vol. was fantastic! I loved every single character and their interactions.
Review: Still pretty good - Overall, I still think volume 4 is fun to read, but it's lacking that frenetic, breakneck speed that has defined the other Baccano light novels. There isn't very much action here and a lot of it is just set up for the climax, a climax that isn't all that exciting. The beginning is kind of weak, especially the parts where Roy Maddock, the dope addict, is concerned. He's not a very compelling character, and sections focusing on him feel kind of forced. However, the comedy moments were pretty great and the flow/cuts of scenes were good too. We get some follow up on the Flying Pussyfoot incident with Vino, Fang and John. We also learn about another of the original immortals. There's more emphasis here on the Gandor brothers (specifically Luck), so if you like them you'll get a lot out of this.

This vol. was fantastic! I loved every single character and their interactions.

Overall, I still think volume 4 is fun to read, but it's lacking that frenetic, breakneck speed that has defined the other Baccano light novels.
