Instantly know about power failures
I live in an area where severe storms and power failures occur fairly often. As a result, I own various alternative power devices to keep essential appliances like a freezer/refrigerator and security systems working. If I am away, it is important that I know not only that a power failure has occurred, but also exactly when (what time) and for how long the power was off. This device works perfectly to provide those details whether I am on the road or just away from my house. The monitor does require a WIFI Internet connection to work. I have my router connected to a power station with a UPS function to power to my router long enough for me to receive failure notifications. I am then able to use information from the device along with the power company’s outage website to keep track of repair progress and make decisions about whether to come home and/or contact a neighbor to plug my appliances in to backup power sources. I have even used it to allow me to report power issues to the electricity provider when I wasn’t home. I have tried other methods to monitor power which tend to fail to restart or notify me in a timely manner upon power restoration. The use of both email and text messages ensures that I am instantly notified of a change in status. Based on various reviews, I anticipated problems setting up the device. However, I found setup to be very easy. You can set up multiple email addresses and text numbers to receive notifications. Excellent product!

Best, inexpensive way to get power outage notifications!
After looking at a number of expensive solutions to notify me of a power outage at my home, someone suggested this product. I figured it's cheap enough, so I tried it. Wonderful inexpensive solution to our problem of needing to know if we lost power specifically to our sump pump. We've had 2 outages since I installed it and I was home both times, so I can attest to how fast (mere seconds) this unit sends out messages to our emails and cell phones, and just as quickly tells us when power is restored. As long as I have my wireless network modem on a UPS there's plenty of time for the unit to get the messages out. I plugged it into the GFI receptacle feeding my sump pump, so if house power fails, or individual circuit trips, or if the GFI trips/fails, I will be notified.I'm an electrician as well as data com tech, and this is the best, most cost effective device for broadcasting outages I've run across in years. Whether you're a homeowner, caregiver or caretaker, please give it a shot, as I think you'll be impressed. I am, and will recommend this highly.

Reliable, good wi-fi range, easy to install
I have power on my dock to keep my boat batteries charged, and the outlet frequently has a GFCI failure due to moisture. This was a perfect solution - plugged into other dock outlet and connected to my house wifi, easy to setup and works perfectly. I was worried signal strength far from house would be too weak, but the device worked great. Have already had one failure, and immediately got text/email outage notification. Thanks for a great product!

Would not pair with home network. Have a workaround ready.
Apparently this item works fine for many, but in my case it would not connect to my modem or router because I (and most other people)have a 2.4ghz and 5ghz capabilities on the same network. The company says the most common problem is that both networks use the same network name and for whatever reason that makes the device not want to connect to the network because of the 5 GHz being also available. They make it sound easy that you should do something like create an alternate 2.4 GHz band only for this device. In my case, that was not an option since my mesh network does not allow you to create more than one network name. In addition, my modem is provided through a provider, and thus I cannot go in and create a dedicated 2.4 GHz only line just for this device I messed with it for a few days and even tried contacting customer service, but I was unable to get this device to pair to my network. Very unfortunate and disappointing that I have to return this device. I wish some of these companies would fix their devices since so many people operate on a dual band modem/router. On the plus side, I did find another companies device which did pair to my network without any trouble and is working fine. Again, very unfortunate I have to leave a one star rating, but people need to be aware of what they might be facing with this product and have a workaround ready .

Great for a remote Starlink set up
We live in a rural area in the woods, because of that our Starlink satellite set up is 300 feet away from the house. This great little alarm, lets us know if something happens to the power with our satellite set up. It’s been in place for a week so far and two rounds of testing has worked flawlessly follow their instructions to the letter and the set up is pretty simple. I have zero complaints about this. It does exactly what they said it would do.

These work well for me. I also installed two of them without a conflict.
I was skeptical based on some reviews. I had my son build something similar well over five years ago. He didn't want to commercialize it and support it, so I was happy to see that someone did. It fits my use case perfectly. I have two units. One on my garage freezer and one on my refrigerator. Most of the bad reviews seem to be from outside the United States. If you follow instructions, the set up works fine. I would suggest using the multiple emails and text numbers that it allows. I have seen where one email address or phone misses the alert. I have UPS on my router, so it will stay up long enough for the devices to notify via WI-FI. I also have a whole house generator, but that isn't necessary for these to work. I mainly want to know if a GFCI breaker trips on a freezer or fridge so that I'm aware and food doesn't spoil.
