These were purchased as dust covers for unused RJ45 connections when not in use between seasons on a covered screened porch. In my experience, they click on and stay on. Wish they were cheaper, but more important that they work properly.

But I think they pay for themselves in the long run by preventing the clip on the RJ45 connector from breaking making a cable basically worthless without replacing the connector. They also potentially prevent network issues due to dust and dirt on the connector. These are sturdy and solid. I also like them being black as the clear plastic alternatives are hard to see when dropped, causing much foot pain when stepped on :)

Based on other reviews, I was unsure when buying these, but decided to find out for myself. These were purchased as dust covers for unused RJ45 connections when not in use between seasons on a covered screened porch. In my experience, they click on and stay on. Wish they were cheaper, but more important that they work properly.

I got these to protect the RJ45 connectors on cables that I carry around and also for running cables through dropped ceilings and they work great and will not fall off. I sometimes have to give premade cables to others to install and these keep the connectors safe. A simple item that saves a lot of problems.
