Not sure what the duty cycle of the coil is rated for. That would a guestion for the manufacture to answer. I've also used them to power electric A/C compressors without any issues. In my experience, even quality Bosch-style 4-pin relays can eventually fail when they're exposed to constant under-hood heat in the Texas summer. These continuous duty solenoids have proven to be a much more reliable option for high-current accessories that see long run times.If you're running A/C fan controls, I highly recommend pairing the solenoid with a 3-wire diode. It keeps the circuit working correctly and prevents unwanted feedback, while allowing the solenoid to run cool even during extended operation.The build quality has been excellent, they're simple to wire, and they've been dependable across several customer builds. The project was delayed and when it was restarted it was beyond the warranty phase so I couldn't return them. I opened the boxes only to find each one labeled with a sticker stating. "This solenoid is a STARTER solenoid. CONTINUOUS WORK IS 5 MINUTES. MUST COOL DOWN.
