Review: The Gold Standard for cats with liver problems. - This is what vets recommend for cats with liver issues. It's important to check who is selling it (desertcart likely ok but third party sellers could be suspect) and see that the batch no. and use by date on the blister pack matches the box, and no blurry lettering or misspellings. My box was the same batch as the one from the vet. The tablets should be given unbroken and on an empty stomach. This is important because the special coating has to remain intact until it reaches the stomach and the presence of food will prevent the active ingredients from working properly. Then you have to wait at least an hour before feeding. This does not go down well with my cat . It's bad enough that he has to start his day being being force fed a pill (a pill gun is useful) but to add insult to injury he then has to wait an hour for his breakfast. I'm starting to see results. He plays more, eats better and the lethargic behaviour is gone. His last blood test showed everything else is OK so he's only being treated for elevated liver enzymes. As he's sixteen and a half this was to be expected. I'll get a clearer picture when he has his next blood test and will update then.

**Q: Why is  this it out of stock**
A: I’m guessing that as many economies and business’s have suffered supply and delivery disruption these past years, it may be related to that.

**Q: Do you need a prescription from the vet to buy these from Amazon and if so do you need  a prescription each time you purchase them**

**Q: I've been buying this for a long time. The pills I received recently were brown colour.  It used to be a blue coating pill, but has it changed?**
A: Yes I noticed that they had been blue but my recent monthly purchase are light brown. My cat is fine and takes them every day so I’m not worried. I’m guessing it’s just the manufacturing maybe saving by not using the colouring agent/coat.

**Q: Can you claim for this product on Pet Plan insurance?**
A: Hi Mike, As this is classed as a complementary medication and not prescription only our pet insurance (Tesco) did not cover this. We subscribe to a monthly delivery via Amazon and this was the cheapest we found it.
