It just works
I was sceptical. How could a light attract those pesky little guests off Hotel Bill? Well, it did. After being down on the floor near one of his majesty's many, many beds, while he was in residence, for around five minutes, there must have been dozens of the little blighters on there. Stuck and possibly dead. Bill is an outdoor a cat. A very outdoor cat. We live in a rural area surrounded by farms. He picks up fleas most summers. Visit the vet, spray the house, but some so-and-so's always seem to escape. Not anymore ::evil laugh:: The sticky pads are plentiful and work really well, being simple to put in the tray, slide the feet/columns/long plastic things into place and voila, flea hell. They don't smell, the light is bright but not especially distracting, the unit can be placed anywhere near a plug socket and is built solid enough to do its job. Bill ignores it completely to, which is an added bonus. Great value and will be used for years to come I suspect.

Great item, does the job
Great item, caught the fleas and easy to see when they were caught. Easy to put together.

Works, but turns the house into an alien rave at night.
We bought the Fly-Bye flea trap kit with the green light and, to be fair, it does seem to do the job. The traps are catching fleas, which is the main reason we bought them in the first place. The downside is the green light. At night it makes the house look like some sort of low budget alien disco rave. It’s very noticeable, especially in darker rooms, and can make it harder to sleep unless you shut doors or move the traps around. As a flea trap, it works and does what it’s meant to do. As a subtle household item, not so much. If you don’t mind the glow or can place them somewhere out of the way, they’re effective. Just be prepared for some unexpected sci fi vibes after dark.

Good effective product
Have 4 dogs and placed these in rooms on floor where they sleep. They have attracted fleas and appear to be working well. Easy to assemble and have stood up well to our 3 large German wire haired pointers rough and tumble. Would recommend these

It works
Very good at mopping up newly hatching fleas. Trying to get rid of fleas takes ages. We have three cats including two kittens. We used this to pick up any newly hatched fleas. It's left on in the livingroom next to the skirting board where the dogs bed used to be. Before the kittens arrived we steam cleaned, hoovered and used indoors flea spray. I check it every few days and it is attracting young fleas and small flying insects. A great second line of defence.

Reasonable quality, but few fleas caught
The good news is, its reasonable build quality. The electrical fitting is the usual low end plastic, but seems robust enough and of reasonable quality - unlike what is said about some other of these devices by reviewers. Its a bit inconvenient to get the sticky card in. The top with the bulb attaches to the bottom with three plastic uprights. When assembled its impossible to get a card out or a new one in, without loosening one of the push-in uprights. A bit inconvenient but not a show stopper. The bad news is the fleas. After having it on for a few days, it has caught four! I know there are fleas around, because I have seen them and been bitten by them. This is not going to make any contribution to solving the problem. Don't know why. Could be the light isn't attractive enough, could be that the glue is ineffective. It seems a lot less tacky than the usual fly strips glue. But whatever the reason, its not getting them. There are two other solutions to try, short of using nasty insecticides. One is vacuuming daily and following up with a steam cleaner. But the steam cleaner needs to be high temp and good pressure, so it will cost around £150-200. The other is diataomaceous earth, taking proper precautions, namely an industrial quality breathing mask when using, and only using for instance under a bed or sofa, only places where passing feet are not going to raise dust. And of course, treat pets conscientiously. Most of the fleas are in furnishings in the house, but the pets are a vector and have to be treated. They also suffer from infestations, of course, so that is another reason.

Ho regalato questo articolo a mia cognata che aveva problemi di pulci in casa e si è rivelato molto utile per la loro cattura. Non ha certo risolto il problema ma ha sicuramente contribuito a migliorarlo molto
