This is exactly the kind of book on meditation that I’ve been looking for. I started seeking out information on meditation after hearing about the many positive benefits that it has. Due to the nature of my job, it’s easy for me to get overly stressed and anxious about things so meditation seemed like an excellent “out” for me.What I appreciated most about this book is that it taught me how to meditate and make meditation a part of my everyday life pretty quickly. I didn’t have to read an overly lengthy book to get the information I needed. It got straight to the point and told me exactly how to meditate, overcome obstacles and find peace.After implementing the techniques discussed in this book, I am already feeling a greater sense of calm. I still get distracted at times during my meditation but I’m getting better and I know that it’s just a matter of time before I’ll be able to focus consistently for longer periods of time.I would highly recommend this book to the meditation beginner like me. The point of learning how to meditate is to meditate so don’t waste your time reading long, fluffy books on meditation. You don’t need them. What you need is to get started with meditation in order to experience the benefits that it offers. That’s why this guide is great. It gives you the information you need (with no fluff!) to get started meditating and experiencing peace right away. Great book.

lovely read
A great read. Really lovely introduction to meditation. Beatifully written, easy to follow, and makes meditation appear appealing and attractive. It has inspired me to incorporate meditation into my daily life and, as it is a short book, it took no time to digest it all. Definitely recommended.

I really enjoyed reading this book
I really enjoyed reading this book.Not only gives you clear and concise explanations on meditation, different types of mediation and how to meditate but is also a great consultation book for beginners. I definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in meditation but doesn't know where or how to start. Furthermore, its very easy to read and finish, it took me 1h30 and It didn't felt that long.

It's alright I suppose. Contains good scientific information about the benefits of meditation and it's well written in a simple way. The rest of the information such as how to meditate I found a bit useless to be honest. It's just good for evidence information but not a lot else so don't expect a mind blower.

Would definitely recommend
I was disappointed when the book first arrived as it so thin. I thought "what a waste of money". However, the fact that it is so concise means that it doesn't take long to read and it seems to encapsulate all that you need to know about the benefits of and how to to start meditating. I am pleased that I bought it now.

Relaxation practicalities
This book opens up to the world of relaxation and sheds lights on not only the practicalities but also the wealth of emotions that challenge the mind day to day. As a therapist, it has helped me to support my solo and coupled clients as i use meditation and visualisation in our sessions. [email protected]

Having read the very positive reviews on here I decided to buy two copies one for myself and one as a gift for a friend. My first thoughts were that it just about qualified to be a book and was in fact more like a glorified pamphlet in my opinion. The content was particularly disappointing,it seemed to be written rather lazilly. It seems to take for granted that one already knows how to meditate,which is surprising given the title.It focuses on issues such as what meditation is,The benefits of meditation,types of meditation,how it works, etc, In fact....Everything that everyone already knows!!!!! just to fill the pages it would seem...... .What is sadly lacking here is the main information that most people would buy this book for, and that is :How to actually meditate in detail.I feel rather cheated having purchased this and I am very suspicious of the high number of positive reviews for this book.I would not recommend it to anyone as it is a major disappointment.
