Review: Wouldn't think of finishing wood without it - Needed to add support to a metal rafter in order to support winch. Installed 10' cedar pole. Used three coats of sanding sealer on surface of pole. All three coats went on in the same day. Drys quickly. The pole was bleeding sap and sanding sealer sealed the sap in. Two coats of polyurethane on top of sanded down sanding sealer. Worked beautifully. Sanding sealer helps insure smooth finish coats. Highly recommended.

**Q: Can this be used with acrylic paint?**
A: Yes, but you would be better off with a solvent based sealer, which is vastly superior.

**Q: Does this contain shellac?**
A: it contains turpentine, paraffin and mineral spirts, I hope that helps, it is a sealer,

**Q: Is this wax free?**
A: It is a sanding sealer...no wax in product...It just makes wood take a more even finish.

**Q: could this be used on a exterior project?**
A: No. The finish does not have UV inhibitors.
