Chain stays on nearly all the time. Only came off once in messy trees. Tightened it and hasn't come off since. I "desecrated" my front, back and side garden trees to my delight. I'll never have to cut them again, only trim a few light branches. Saved a €1,000 or €2,000 in hiring a tree cutting company. Did it over a few dry seasons though.
Review: A great machine - After looking at other machines more expensive and reading lots & lots of reviews I went for this one as it had a very long reach and lighter in weight. I used it for the first time last week on a tall bush/tree at the bottom of the garden it was fantastic so sharp cutting through quite thick wood quickly I didn't use extension so can't comment on that , the bush now looks great so pleased. I lent it to my neighbour to cut his high conifer hedges he was over the moon with it so much he is going to order his own, he has some scaffolding so he was able to use the extension with the help of his son guiding it he said it cut so well and made the job so much easier. Both of use are so impressed for the money.

**Q: How much does this weigh?**
A: It's about 10 kilos, I found it difficult to cut in a straight line when fully extended but used 2 saw horses and some 2x2 to rest it on. Great product

**Q: Does the chainsaw head tun to 90 degree / right angle to the pole?**
A: No, it only goes to 30 deg with an indent at 15 deg. I haven't found a need to angle the head yet. Still, a good bit of kit, quite robust with a very long reach. Don't forget to buy some chainsaw oil as it only comes with a small quantity.

**Q: It says 12” chainsaw, but the chain I took off and need to replace is 14”, does anyone know the correct size, no reply from manufacturer, thanks**
A: I have not changed the chain but if it measures 14 inch then it must be they do sell 3/8" 14inch  chainsaw chains on eBay quite cheap have a look just check the width on yours first I hope this helps

**Q: country of origin please?**
A: Not sure about Country of origin but they have a UK base in Cumbria. From the name, I would think they are European but many euro and English marked tools are originally sourced from China. The tool is good and works well, so no operational issues. Hope this helps.

I had a 50ft goat willow tree that needed felling, I purchased this product and it did exactly what I needed it to do and that was to cut the whole tree down in a couple of hours. Assembly was easy along with generous cable length and cutting reach extension and adjustable cutting angle, operating it was a bit daunting at first but I soon got the hang of it. I have one thing to say though and that it is quite heavy and I got very tired using it after about an hour even using the provided shoulder strap. I would recommend this product, well made and reliable.
