But doesn't mean you can't careful cut out the case part then use it for bigger size drives. **Q: I removed the hard drive from my daughters laptop because it wouldn't turn. Will this allow me to retrieve the data on that hard drive?** A: I use this enclosure for a friend who’s computer died. We pulled the drive and put it in the enclosure and he was able to save all his data. So, it really depends on if the drive is still functional or not. **Q: my previous ineo t2573 had no led indicator, does this unit come with one? cannot tell if formating is ongoing without it.** A: Yes, there is a blue light located inside the casing. It flashes when plugged into a usb port. **Q: Has anyone ever hooked one of these up to their Nintendo Wii, and is the cord long enough for the hard drive to lay vertically beside the Wii?** A: I can't tell you if it will work with a Wii. The drive case is a USB 3.0 standard device and I have tried some older and newer 2.5 inch drives in it. Both have worked. I have also formatted a drive and that works on both MAC and PC. The USB cable is a unitized 4 inch pigtail that tucks into the case when not in use. I'm really happy with the design as you can easily swap drives in and out of it without tools.
