It will certainly chase old threads. **Q: I plan to use this tool to replace a smaller zerk that is stripped out. What size drill bit should I use to enlarge the existing hole? The easy-out end seems fine.The two 12 point sockets are junk. One is too small for the hex on a 1/8 NPT Zerk, and the other is just large enough to strip out the hex on a 1/8 NPT Zerk. I gave it one star for the "tap" (it is not a tap, it is a chase) and the easy-out.Image, one expects that a tool designed to work with a 1/8 NPT would work with an 1/8 NPT. Threads seem right, how did you miss the hex TWICE? SAE is SAE, and all the dimensions for SAE are standardized - have been since before WWII. Why is there even two different sizes of hex-driver on this thing? Designer just hoping?Fix the size of the one driver, and put a 3/8" ratchet-socket on the other end - seeing as you have to use something to drive it anyways. I could have simply bought a 1/8" NPT tap and an easy-out - seeing as I have to have a wrench or socket anyways...Really, REALLY tired of glaring incompetence. Suppose Lincoln's engineers even know what the Machinery's Handbook is? This is not a fancy tool that makes the Top 10 Tools in the World chart. It does however work wonders for those that deal with grease fittings still. It's simple a must have if things go wrong with a grease fitting or part that uses one. Threads easily, extracts broken pieces in a flash and makes installing and tightening simple as heck.
