Review: I love the powder coating and light weight of the mask. The head strap is high quality with a rubberized tacky grip. I still added some pine tar to my skull cap but it really wasn’t needed. Also comes with a nice storage bag so I can keep it looking new every practice and game. I had originally bought a cheaper mask but it was heavy. This mask is light weight and strong alloy. I’ve take a couple of fouled 85mph pitches to the mask and the face cushion pads take on 100% of the impact from the ball. I wear my Oakley “sweep” style sunglasses under the mask and I often forget I even have them on because the mask is that comfortable.

**Q: Is this allowed in little league?**
A: Each league in our area is different on rules/regulations.

**Q: Is the inside padding genuine leather or synthetic?**
A: I believe it's synthetic.

**Q: Would this work on a large 9 year old with a 7" head? Thank you**
A: It very well could fit, but for someone that young I'd recommend the hockey style masks.
That style offers more coverage on the side of the head. If he's 9 years old he could start reacting to bad pitches by turning his head and then risk taking a bad hop off the dirt into the side of head ear area. That decision is totally on parents/child. If you do decide to get this mask I'd also recommend the skull cap that you see most older kids using. FYI - The State High School Association in my state (IOWA) will not allow the kids to wear this mask. Another thing to consider...Hope this helps.

A: No. The skull cap is not included.

My son is a catcher and plays 12 & 13u little league baseball, and he absolutely loves how light this helmet is with the skull cap for catching. BUT the biggest down fall is SOME tournaments and leagues do not allow this style of mask for little leaguers. Just beware of this when purchasing. Check your league and tournament rules. The product is a 5 star for sure, very well made and light weight.
