Review: Wonderful Fall-Protection Mat for Our Aging Dogs! - We're using this mat for an unconventional purpose, but it's the perfect solution for our situation. Most Chinese Crested dogs love to jump-up and rest on the back of sofas and recliners, and ours are no exception. But they are older now (13 and 15) and the oldest actually has dementia and is not as stable on his legs as he used to be. It's virtually impossible to keep them off the furniture while still making it practical for humans. We bought these pads to place on the floor behind our swinging/rocking recliner chairs, which both dogs nearly fell off of, even when they were younger. This 3' x 4' mat is the perfect size to ensure neither of our 14-lb dogs sustain any injuries should they fall off the back of the recliners. These mats are an expensive option, but you can't put a price on preventing the serious injuries the dogs would sustain if they crashed down to the hardwood floors. If they survived, the vet bills would cost much more than the price of these mats. I'm 215 lbs. and I intentionally fell to my knees on this mat and it was like landing on a soft cloud! It didn't hurt in the least and I could tell it's a very safe and durable product. Review: Good thickness for under bars - We use this user our toddler's gymnastics bar. We wanted something thicker than your average gym mat. This mat is pricy but definitely worth it for us. It is high quality material and perfect amount of give and thickness to make us comfortable. ## Features - Our Pit Pillow is an extra soft gymnastic mat with very loan density foam in a denim cover - It is designed to mimic the feel of a mat on a loose foam pit and be placed on another foam or air mat - The 3 ft x 4 ft x 8 in Pit Pillow is NOT intended for use on hard surfaces or alone - It has Velcro on all sides, so that several can be connected end-to-end, side-by-side or stacked vertically - The Velcro also allows the Pit Pillow to connect to our other smart mats, such as the Baby Bear or Mama Bear mats ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B006FFEUH8 | | Best Sellers Rank | #120,036 in Sporting Goods ( See Top 100 in Sporting Goods ) #103 in Gymnastics Training & Tumbling Mats | | Brand | Tumbl Trak | | Brand Name | Tumbl Trak | | Color | Blue | | Colour | Blue | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 31 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00849304001760 | | Included Components | PP-36488v | | Item Dimensions L x W x Thickness | 91.4L x 121.9W x 20.3Th centimeters | | Item Type Name | Gymnastics Crash Mat | | Item Weight | 3.18 Kilograms | | Item weight | 3.18 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Tumbl Trak | | Material | denim | | Model Number | PP-36488v | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | PP-36488V | | Product Care Instructions | Hand Wash Only | | Product care instructions | Hand Wash Only | | Product dimensions | 91.4L x 121.9W x 20.3Th centimeters | | UPC | 849304001760 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Tumbl Trak - **Colour:** Blue - **Material:** denim - **Product care instructions:** Hand Wash Only - **Product dimensions:** 91.4L x 121.9W x 20.3Th centimeters ## Images ![Tumbl Trak Pit Pillow® Extra Soft Crash Mat w/Denim Cover, 3ft x 4ft x 8in - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61hX4qD0L6L.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can shoes be used on the Pit Pillow?** A: Shoes should not be used on or with the Pit Pillow. **Q: Can the Pit Pillow be used alone as a landing mat?** A: The Pit Pillow is designed to be used as a topping mat in a loose foam pit and should be placed on another foam or air-filled mat when used outside a pit. (It is not intended for use alone on hard surfaces.) **Q: My Pit Pillow is more than 2 years old and the foam is starting to split. What can I do to prolong its life?** A: To repair a small foam split, remove the cover, apply foam-safe spray adhesive (3M 77, 90, or Gorilla), let it dry completely, then replace the cover. Allow extra time for the repair to fully cure. **Q: Can The Pit Pillow connect with other mats?** A: The Pit Pillow has Velcro on all sides for connecting multiple mats or attaching to the Mama Bear and Air Floor. Smart Mat Technology adds versatility, and handles on all sides ensure easy portability. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful Fall-Protection Mat for Our Aging Dogs! *by K***D on 11 February 2022* We're using this mat for an unconventional purpose, but it's the perfect solution for our situation. We wanted something thicker than your average gym mat. This mat is pricy but definitely worth it for us. It is high quality material and perfect amount of give and thickness to make us comfortable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Mat *by E***Y on 1 June 2016* This mat is great. It can help kids at all skill levels. A kid can fall on their back from a handstand without any fear. I know it will help my daughter learn much faster because she won't have to worry about hurting herself. I can't wait to teach my daughter everything from a back walkover to a backflip with this mat. I have been using the Tumbl Trak soft mat, but this one is much better. The soft mat cannot even compare because it still hurts a little if you fall on it. This mat is a great crash mat, but it's also firm enough to learn back bends from standing up or a handstand fall to a bridge. It really is the closest thing to having a pit at your house. I bought the 4x6 size. ## Frequently Bought Together - Tumbl Trak Pit Pillow Soft Mat w/Denim Cover - BalanceFrom Folding Gymnastics Mat, Home Gym Floor Tumbling Equipment, 4' x 10' x 2" - We Sell Mats Gymnastics Incline Mat, Cheese Wedge Skill Shape, Tumbling Mat for Gymnastics Training, Cheerleading and Obstacle Courses --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.bo/products/591031357-tumbl-trak-pit-pillow-extra-soft-crash-mat-w-denim](https://www.desertcart.bo/products/591031357-tumbl-trak-pit-pillow-extra-soft-crash-mat-w-denim) --- *Product available on Desertcart Bolivia* *Store origin: BO* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
