My pal that has a lathe has been using this and informs me that it is a good kit and very user friendly, apart from the only negative being the tip removal tool could be better. £30 when ordered appears a few pounds overpriced when compared to other available kits.

Good fit of the tungsten inserts.Got me off to a good start on my lathe with no issues.

The first thing I noticed was the smell! My set smelt of a floral perfume, I have no idea if that’s the protective coating or from the person doing the packing.The tools seem to be well-made, and the carbide inserts attach securely using the included Allen wrench. I’m not sure it’s necessary to include a wrench with each tool, it seems a bit wasteful.I’m very new to metal turning but I produced clean, consistent cuts (with some tuition from a friend) using these tools.They are very good value for money.

These are all 12mm so uniform for fitting to your toolpost to centre.Each tool comes with a wrench to fit the carbide bits, there are 10 of these supplied.You get a boring bar and 3 turning tools, each tool comes well packaged with its own wrench. These are aimed at the hobbyist with a small metal lathe like a Myford. At review time these were £21.99. I would say they are not the bottom end of the price range for this type of tool
