The fabric is on the thicker side. Since we live in a climate that stays between 80 and 85°F year-round, I do wish the material is a little thinner. That said, the fit is excellent; the 2T works perfectly for my 27 lb toddler and provides enough room to grow and plenty of space for a diaper. The pockets are functional - perfect for pocketing the best pebbles/ treasure found on a walk. They also hold up well in the laundry, washing and drying without any shrinkage. They are roomy compared to other 2T clothes he has and these have pockets. I love the colors and the cotton fabric material is soft and medium weight. The waist band is elastic non adjustable. The strings on the waistband are just for show lol but thats okay we dont need to use them. I love the quality of these shorts and they will last to pass down to my younger child. Great price too at about $5 a pair. Easy to put on as they are stretchy.Only negative is when they arrived they smelled strongly of air freshener or something.
