As usual, no better case than Otterbox Defender. I had 4 iPhones in them over the years, and all look brand new when I’ve removed them from a Defender case.

Love this case!!! I've been using the original Defender case for years. I switched to the XT version to take advantage of the Magsafe feature. I like the fact that there is no outer rubber cover on this version, the rubber on the original model would wear out and sag. You won't have to worry about that on this case.
