No idea if any of those are Avid, but we first bought a cheaper one (about $50) and it wouldn't read the Home Again chip or the 10-digit 24 Pet Watch chip. **Q: Will this work with Avid and Home Again?** A: Yes. Our Hero Advanced Microchip Reader will read all Avid and Home Again microchips. **Q: Is it possible to adjust the volume of the beep? This was mostly because the microchip reader I was told to buy was an industrial, however, that one was sold out at the time, so I purchased this one. I opened the box, put in the battery, and immediately scanned my animals. It worked for microchips over 14 years of age and as little as a few weeks. I further confirmed this when I went to the municipal shelter. It works fast and accurately. I am confident that it will work on almost all, if not all chips out there.
