Also, the included leads were not of a particularly high standard and the UK mains lead arrived broken.However, I simply grabbed another kettle-type lead and I was soon getting good quality DMX information through to various compatible devices.Clearly, I cannot comment on the long term durability of the product, but as it is coping with DMX rather than audio data, I am happy that it will do the job for me at an upcoming mini-festival. ### ⭐⭐⭐ It's OK, but not fully isolated - except from earth! *by M***X on 15 December 2018* Just got one of these. Being an electronic engineer, and with this coming from China, the first thing to do was to look inside...Firstly, the outputs are NOT fully isolated, as shown on the lid and in sales blurb. There is one isolating dc-dc converter that isolates the input from all 8 outputs. So, you do get input to output galvanic isolation, but not between the outputs. This is a big disappointment, but maybe not surprising given the price of the box.Secondly, the mains wiring is a bit tight up against the power supply, and more importantly for a unit that is not marked as double insulated, the case is NOT earthed. I would strongly suggest a short earthing cable between the IEC inlet tag and a chassis screw (as shown in last photo).Lastly, the unit is described as "2 Input", but of course its a single input with a looping output. No problem with this - it's better to have passive looping in case a unit fails in the chain. Also useful to add a terminator if needed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect simple dmx for standard needs *by C***R on 20 August 2018* Works perfectly as expected, same basic unit as other brands so easy to operate and get to grips with. Fast and responsive, does exactly what it’s designed to.
