Review: Solved my single USB 4 port dilemma easily. - I bought a Bee Link Intel i9-12900H based Mini PC last year and it came with USB 3 ports galare but only a single USB4 Thunderbolt 4 port. I had amassed 3 card readers; 2 from ProGrade Digital (PGD) and one from SanDisk. Recently I discovered that while I had the PGD readers attached via a USB 3.1 Gen 2 port via a standard USB3 hub and the indicated read speeds were what I considered good, I happened to swap one of the PGD readers to the USB 4 port. I can't recall why I did it but was pleasantly surprised with the results. The speed indication on my testing was much increased on the USB4 port, as one would expect. Swapping the pair of PGD readers had the other reader being the faster one, as expected. Even the SanDisk reader was much improved on the USB 4 port. But now I had a quandary to solve, which reader to place on the USB 4 port and which 2 to leave on the slower USB 3 port. Then a PGD advertisement solved my problem with the PGD PG20 Pro Thunderbolt 4 Hub. Now when I plugged the externally powered USB 4 hub into the USB 4 Thunderbolt port, the throughput of the USB 4 port is easily passed to all three of my card readers. Not to mention it makes a really nice base for the 2 PGD readers and the SanDisk sits right next to the hub, everything nice and compact but easy to access. Yeah, it was a bit pricey but the ability to expand the USB 4 performance from a single port to 3 devices I feel was worth it because the only other way to do it would be to upgrade my PC to a full size one that had expansion slots and that wasn't even an option in my mind.
