I personally would not consider it a permanent fix. I used it on my motorcycle to fix a cast aluminum clutch cover in the middle of nowhere with hot oil leaking out and it sealed it up for another 800 miles off road until I could order a replacement. Works as advertised. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Strong hold,easy to use!! *by A***. on February 27, 2026* A screw fell out of our chair (a chair that had to be assembled by us when we received it, but one of the four screws did not fit right into the threaded hole and over time it loosened and just “fell out”). I looked for the best epoxy that would hold the metal screw, that would not rely on the threaded part. I settled on JB WELD since I’ve used it in the past for other projects, to good success. When received, I put on rubber gloves, kneaded the epoxy putty eonuogh, rolled it to make a rope-like plug, put it into the hole and pushed the screw in. Then rolled a longer rope-like piece with the remaining piece and wrapped it around the screw nut I pushed in (see photo). Let it dry overnight and tested it. It held, no problems. The strength of the epoxy appears and feels like it will last a log time…so I’d say it was successful!!!
