The stories, so far as I have read, are very well written. Anton Chekhov was a minimalist; he never included details of things that did not play a significant part in the plot.Unfortunately, the last person who handled the book had not been very careful, and the book has marks of dirty fingers all over. Its disgusting to the eyes. The quality of the pages are not up to the mark.You can sure pay Rs. 170 (full price that I paid) and get the same book elsewhere, albeit cleaner than the one that I received. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Top favourite! *by A***B on Reviewed in India on 3 July 2016* This book contains stories that average 2 pages each and are not complete plot like stories. Rather they are like an artists sketch that gives you an insight into a particular scene. This is one of my favourite books. The author is a very good judge of human nature and he depicts it very beautifully.
