I have three of them, and one with the stainless shackle, that I accidentally ordered. I meant to get this marine grade one with the Brass shackle when I ordered that one. All four are fantastic. Sometimes it can take a little more force than expected on one of my locks. Just know that it should go almost as far "In" as it can. The lock is very solid. I cannot stress this enough. They make Master Lock products feel loose and wobbly. I never thought they were until I started using one of these. I have seen the comparable looking model from ML. It is actually slightly different dimensions. These locks have a slight outward angle, whereas the ML is straight up and down. I admit I have seen the ML version of this lock functioning for 25+ years on a friends sailboat. It still works. But it is a pain to work the dials. I have read very few reviews that support ML as much. However I have seen several personal testaments that re-affirm the quality of Sesamee Locks.
